It all started with a simple request from one of my closest friends, and I’ll be honest—I had no idea it would spark a journey that would change my life. In 2018, she asked, “Sabrina, you’re the most creative person I know. Could you make me a sign for our engagement party?” Without a second thought, I said yes. I grabbed a foam chalkboard, some chalk markers, and created something I thought was just a sweet gesture for her special day. But when photos of that sign went up on Facebook, something magical happened—my inbox started filling up with messages asking if I could make signs for their events, too. I was stunned. Suddenly, what began as a small, personal project turned into a passion I couldn’t ignore.

By 2019, I made a life-changing decision: I was going to turn this newfound love for crafting into a full-time business. It was one of the scariest, yet most exciting decisions I’ve ever made. I went from using chalk markers to learning how to handle power tools, creating high-quality, 3D aesthetic wood signs that have a little extra heart in every curve and corner. While I do use a laser for some projects, it’s not my go-to tool. Most of my creations are made with my trusted scroll saw, allowing me to carve each piece by hand, giving it that special, one-of-a-kind touch.

I handle every part of SG Artistry myself—design, production, customer service, marketing, you name it. It’s a lot of work, but honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Everything I’ve learned, I’ve picked up along the way, through trial, error, and a lot of patience. I’m constantly learning and growing, and I feel so grateful for the opportunity to keep improving. Whether it’s learning new techniques, exploring different tools, or finding better ways to serve my customers, I’m always striving to be better. It’s a journey that keeps me inspired and thankful every single day.

What started as a hobby in my living room has blossomed into SG Artistry—an entire business that allows me to do what I love every single day, right from my cozy home in Windsor, Ontario. I’m excited to be expanding into ready-to-purchase home decor that you can grab without the wait for a custom order. It’s my way of bringing even more pieces of art to your home, perfect for gifting or treating yourself!
